| Breaking News | | Monday, September 30th, 2019: Dolby Sidelined, Listed DTD by Milwaukee Brewers star reliever NR Dolby may be sitting it out a few days after he picked up an injury in yesterday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He sustained a finger blister while throwing a pitch. Dolby isn't expected to miss a lot of time. However, doctors want to be cautious. They said he would be day-to-day for about 1-2 weeks.
Looking at his season stats to date, Dolby has no saves in 33 games with a 2-1 record and 3.38 ERA. | | Sunday, September 15th, 2019: Timothy Winner, Whitewashes Rockies Milwaukee starter Peter Timothy really did a number on the Rockies today, shutting them out 4-0 on 3 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 1 walk and had 5 strikeouts.
In his postgame comments, the Colorado manager said, "We didn't have good at-bats. I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting... seeing as our team has a bunch of pretty good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Peter... he did an outstanding job today."
So far this season Timothy has compiled a 9-4 record with a 3.15 ERA. | | Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019: 3-HR Game for Gil Against Nationals If you were sitting in the bleachers and brought your glove to the Brewers-Nationals game, there was a good chance you'd catch one of the three home runs hit by Mike Gil. The Brewers third baseman repeatedly sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir and led Milwaukee to a 6-3 win over Washington.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub...not thinkin' about home runs. I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames. When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em," he philosophized in the postgame press conference.
Gil was 4-4 on the day with 3 runs batted in.
M. Gil hit a solo-shot off H. Campbell in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off H. Campbell in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off J. Warburton in the 8th.
In the 2019 season Gil is hitting .234 with 6 home runs. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 87-75, .537 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 47-34, .580 PCT | | Record on the road | 40-41, .494 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 7-3, .700 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 26-19, .578 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 18-28, .391 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 69-47, .595 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record in April | 14-14, .500 PCT | | Record in May | 16-11, .593 PCT | | Record in June | 12-14, .462 PCT | | Record in July | 16-11, .593 PCT | | Record in August | 13-14, .481 PCT | | Record in September | 15-10, .600 PCT | | Record in October | 1-1, .500 PCT |
