| Breaking News |  | Thursday, June 18th, 2009: Holy Rollers Brown Sidelined for 2 Weeks
It took the Las Vegas team doctor a while to realize it, but starting pitcher Jim Brown won't simply play through a tender shoulder after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Fighting Cocks-Holy Rollers game. At first, it looked like Brown might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 2 weeks. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Brown as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon.
Over the season Brown has thrown 92.1 innings and dished out 64 strikeouts with a 5-3 mark and a 5.26 ERA.

 | Wednesday, June 10th, 2009: Price Hurt, Out of Lineup 1-2 Weeks
Jeff Price and the Las Vegas Holy Rollers got a bad break in today's game against the Bombers as the team confirmed he will miss 1-2 weeks with a concussion. The Holy Rollers catcher suffered the injury running the bases. The team doctor is confident he'll make a full recovery.
This season Price has hit 8 home runs and posted a .265 batting average.

Allegedly, José García has asked to be traded from Las Vegas. It is rumored that he is unhappy with fans and the team management and that maybe the pressure and demands of playing here are too great.
