| Breaking News | | Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009: 5-Hits Blitz by Fargo's Dickinson! It was a sensational day at the plate for Matt Dickinson as he led the charge to a 7-4 win over the Bearcats.
The Fargo shortstop was pure misery for the Carolina pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
The manager for the Bearcats told SION reporters after the game, "Dickinson put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
M. Dickinson singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
In this current campaign Dickinson is hitting at a .351 clip with no home runs and 21 RBIs. | | Monday, June 1st, 2009: Fargo's Sparticello - Chosen May's Best in Ruth When Roberto Sparticello takes the hill, he's a good bet to nail down the victory for the Fargo Bomb Dogs. At least that's the way it was in May.
He excelled with a 5-0 mark and 1.49 ERA in 6 starts. In 48.1 innings, he fanned 34 and walked 10. That's why he was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the Ruth.
This season Sparticello has a 7-3 record with a 2.47 ERA in 12 starts. | | Monday, May 11th, 2009: Reynolds Wins Ruth Player of the Week Prize Allen Reynolds of the Bomb Dogs relied on a sharp eye and a quick bat to outpace all other Ruth hitters last week and collect the Player of the Week Award.
He hit .522 with 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 5 home runs and 8 RBIs.
To date this season Reynolds is hitting .339 with 7 home runs. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Bryce Murdoch | bone chips (elbow) | 10 months | 6 day(s) left (60-day DL) | | 1B John Sheppard | torn groin muscle | 3 weeks | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 30-30, .500 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 3.0 GB | | Record at home | 12-18, .400 PCT | | Record on the road | 18-12, .600 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 3-1, .750 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 10-11, .476 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 13-8, .619 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 17-22, .436 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 9-19, .321 PCT | | Record in May | 20-9, .690 PCT | | Record in June | 1-2, .333 PCT |
