Keith Cuellar allowed 4 hits while giving up no walks and collecting 7 strikeouts as Tampa blanked Laredo 3-0.
In the postgame interview Cuellar said, "I'm trying to keep the ball down and let guys put it in play. It worked for me today."
In 2019 Cuellar has fashioned a 6-3 mark, 2.44 ERA and pitched 85 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .223 against him and he has logged 77 strikeouts.

 | Monday, August 5th, 2019: Garcia Belts 5 Hits!
If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Thomas Garcia showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Tampa Diplomats and helped the Laredo Underdogs beat them 8-7.
The manager for the Diplomats told the SION sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames."
If Garcia keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise.
T. Garcia singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off T. Blankenship in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off H. Hernandez in the 8th.
Batting .356 to date, Garcia has 9 home runs and 56 RBIs.

 | Wednesday, July 24th, 2019: Persaud Guns Down White Hawks
In a splendid 4-0 shutout performance, Mark Persaud of the Laredo Underdogs subdued the Laredo White Hawks on a 4-hitter.
His manager said in postgame comments, "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes."
Persaud registered 8 strikeouts and no walks.
Checking out his stats for the season, Persaud has notched 12 wins and 7 losses in 23 starts, 3.81 ERA and struck out 72 batters in 167.2 innings.
