It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that Moreno Valley's Rafael Muńóz has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the center fielder may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.

 | Saturday, August 2nd, 2008: Crawford Torches Loans for 5 Hits
Phil Crawford really sizzled at the plate in today's 18-1 win over Loans. The Moreno Valley second baseman blistered Provo for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Crawford was too tough to get out today," the Loans skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
P. Crawford doubled in the 1st, singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off C. Plemmons in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
In the 2008 season Crawford is hitting .244 with 6 home runs.

 | Friday, August 1st, 2008: King Takes Best Bat Trophy in July
Snap, crackle and pop!!
In July, Terry King snapped up the Ruth Batter of the Month trophy by cracking 32 hits and popping 11 home runs.
For the month he hit a solid .340 with 30 RBIs and 32 runs scored. The Moreno Valley shortstop also picked up 30 walks to compile a .504 on-base percentage.
A look at his season totals shows King with 27 home runs, .288 BA, .440 OBP, 87 RBIs and 90 runs scored.
