His manager said in postgame comments, "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes."
Brown registered no strikeouts and 1 walk.
In 35 starts this season Brown has fashioned a 12-14 record and a 4.56 ERA. |  | Sunday, August 31st, 2008: Navigators Nachos to Miss 2 Weeks After the end of today's game between Columbus and Honolulu, Brian Nachos skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after being hit by a pitch, the Navigators had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The shortstop will miss at least 2 weeks with a fractured finger.

He crafted a fine 5-hitter in blanking them 9-0 and chalked up 5 strikeouts and no walks along the way.
"It certainly makes my job easy," said the Asheville skipper. "When my pitcher pitches a shutout. I can just sit back, watch, and enjoy."
