| Breaking News |  | Sunday, September 28th, 2008: Great Stroke! Sánchez Gets 5 Hits! 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Rodrigo Sánchez of the Stamford Smugglers had a sensational 5-5 game against Scranton at Cubeta Stadium. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 5-3 shellacking of the Dunderheads.
In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off...Right, skipper?"
R. Sánchez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
In 2008 Sánchez is batting .324 with 12 home runs. |  | Monday, September 15th, 2008: Aaron's Hottest Hitter This week's outstanding performer in the Aaron was first baseman Bob Carpenter of the Scranton Dunderheads.
He racked up a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week. Over the last week Carpenter plastered 10 hits in 20 at-bats and 3 home runs, drove in 9 runs and scored 11 times.
This season Carpenter is batting .275 with 29 home runs. He has scored 91 runs and driven in 144. |  | Saturday, September 6th, 2008: Scranton's Arsola Out 8 Months Luis Manuel Arsola and the Scranton Dunderheads got a bad break in today's game against the Goats as the team confirmed he will miss 8 months with back spasms. The Dunderheads reliever suffered the injury throwing a pitch. The team doctor is confident he'll make a full recovery.
