Clyde Carey allowed 5 hits while giving up 1 walk and collecting 2 strikeouts as Toronto blanked Baltimore 8-0.
In the postgame interview Carey said, "I'm trying to keep the ball down and let guys put it in play. It worked for me today."
This season Carey has crafted a 12-16 mark with a 4.14 ERA in 250 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .291 against him and he has 108 strikeouts.

Today the Orioles downed the White Sox 6-5 as Nicolai Cumminski sprayed hits all over Oriole Park at Camden Yards in a 5-hit explosion, finishing up with 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
The Baltimore first baseman said to SION reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today, and I didn't miss any of them."
N. Cumminski doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off C. Tu-chin in the 9th.
In 2019 Cumminski is batting .322 with 190 hits, 15 home runs, 86 RBIs, 70 walks, .391 OBP and has scored 80 runs. He has played in 153 games.
