 | Sunday, September 14th, 2008: Johnson Gets 5 Hits It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Mike Johnson. It was very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Johnson went on a tear at The Thunderdome and cracked hit after hit off Honolulu pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, he had a career 5-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell we lost," he laughed in the SION postgame interview. Johnson got the accolades today and the Honolulu Tsunami walked off the field with a 8-7 win. M. Johnson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off A. Phelps in the 9th. Currently Johnson is batting .353 with 14 home runs and 79 RBIs. |
