 | Sunday, September 14th, 2008: Goats Pitching Ravaged by Sutton It was high-5 day at Ace Park, at least for Matt Sutton of the Atlantic City Aces. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Gary Goats. Sutton smashed 5 hits in 7 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 3-2 win. His manager said, "Matt was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." M. Sutton hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, struck out in the 10th, singled in the 13th and doubled in the 15th. Sutton is hitting .207 this year with 31 home runs and 76 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .285, 56 walks and scored 68 times. |
