 | Saturday, September 13th, 2008: Horn Torches Goats for 5 Hits It was high-5 day at Ace Park, at least for Jason Horn of the Atlantic City Aces. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Gary Goats. Horn smashed 5 hits in 7 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 11-9 win. His manager said, "Jason was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." J. Horn hit a solo-shot off S. Pérez in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, doubled in the 11th, walked in the 13th and hit a two-run home run off S. Allen in the 15th. In the 2008 season Horn is batting .229 with 119 hits and 19 home runs. He has scored 74 times and batted in 70. |
