 | Saturday, July 6th, 2019: Zacharias Wins, Holds Minnesota Scoreless The Minnesota Twins struggled at the plate today against White Sox hurler Dewey Zacharias, who shackled them on 5 hits while hurling a complete game 5-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Twins skipper in his postgame comments.
"Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Zacharias finished the game with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," his manager said. "Dewey made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
