 | Monday, September 1st, 2008: Thomas August's Best Bat Choice When Julian Thomas stepped up to the plate in August, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Ruth Batter of the Month award. The young Asheville shortstop posted a .419 batting average with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 31 runs. Thomas also worked pitchers for 14 walks to post a .484 on-base percentage. Thomas is currently batting .355 with 15 home runs and 82 RBIs. |
