 | Saturday, August 23rd, 2008: Stamford Bats Silenced by Mitchell Speaking after the game, the Waco manager said, "Kevin Mitchell had everything going for him. He controlled their bat speed, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all...masterful."
Mitchell held the Stamford Smugglers to 3 hits and fashioned a fine 4-0 shutout. He had 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Stamford skipper told reporters.
Mitchell has gone 11-8 this season with an ERA of 3.66 and 124 strikeouts in 184.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .266 against him. | |
