 | Tuesday, August 19th, 2008: High-5s for Somin! Goes 5-5! Kenneth Somin had an answer for everything the Las Vegas Holy Rollers threw him today in the Waco 14-3 triumph at Central Texas Stadium. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Waco shortstop went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to SION writers after the game, Somin said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." K. Somin hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off G. Martin in the 9th. So far this season Somin is hitting .322 with 17 home runs. |
