 | Tuesday, August 19th, 2008: Shawn Linsday Suffers Injury It took the Thunder Bay team doctor a while to realize it, but left fielder Shawn Linsday won't simply play through a strained achilles tendon after he got hurt running the bases in today's Rednecks-Bombers game. At first, it looked like Linsday might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 2 weeks. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Linsday as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon. This season Linsday has 11 home runs and a .289 batting average. |
