 | Friday, August 15th, 2008: Young Tags Tsunami 7 Hits 7 hits in 7 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Stephen Young of the Jacksonville Marlins had a sensational 7-7 game against Honolulu at Huge Jax Field. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 14-13 shellacking of the Tsunami.
In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off...Right, skipper?"
S. Young singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off P. Colomo in the 8th, hit an RBI double in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off M. Reed in the 10th.
This year Young is hitting at a .300 pace with 22 home runs and 74 RBIs. He has played in 113 games and scored 76 times. | |
