 | Monday, June 23rd, 2008: Great Week for Las Vegas's First Baseman Matt Patrick must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .444 clip, then the Las Vegas first baseman finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the Aaron Player of the Week Award.
He told SION reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too."
For the week Patrick batted .444 (8-18) with 5 home runs and 14 RBIs.
Patrick is presently hitting at a .345 pace with 21 home runs and 53 RBIs. He has played in 69 games and scored 53 times. | |
