 | Saturday, August 2nd, 2008: Crawford Torches Loans for 5 Hits Phil Crawford really sizzled at the plate in today's 18-1 win over Loans. The Moreno Valley second baseman blistered Provo for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Crawford was too tough to get out today," the Loans skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." P. Crawford doubled in the 1st, singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off C. Plemmons in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In the 2008 season Crawford is hitting .244 with 6 home runs. |
