 | Thursday, July 31st, 2008: Injury Forces Rafael Pérez Out The Stampede received bad news this morning. Rafael Pérez will miss 2 weeks due to a damaged meniscus. In the Waco-Mexico City game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Pérez sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This year Pérez has posted a 14-2 mark in 23 starts and has a 3.42 ERA. |
