 | Tuesday, July 29th, 2008: Big Day for Hunt! Swats 5 Hits! During a player's career, there are days that stand out, and this day was definitely special! Archie Hunt went 5 for 5 against the Guantanamo Bay Interrogators at Blizzard Park and the Snow Bears picked up a 12-5 victory. He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted right fielder was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room. "He was patient up there today," the Anchorage skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Hunt has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes." A. Hunt tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Hunt has gotten 118 hits in 388 at-bats for a .304 batting average with 10 home runs. His stats include 57 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has played in 102 games. |
