 | Friday, June 20th, 2008: Vaughn Torches Bomb Dogs for 5 Hits It was a parade of hits for Lonnie Vaughn of the Jacksonville Marlins...one right after another...a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the Fargo Bomb Dogs for 5 hits in his 6 at-bats and propelled the Marlins to a 16-0 victory. "Vaughn was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Bomb Dogs manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." L. Vaughn flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off O. Rojas in the 9th. So far in 2008 Vaughn is batting .308 with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 20 hits in 65 at-bats and a .361 OBP. |
