The Owls right fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Ryan and a tough day for Columbus. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Ryan delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league. J. Ryan singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off B. Gary in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off B. Gary in the 9th. For 2008 Ryan is batting .307 with 22 home runs, 72 RBIs and 65 runs scored. |
