 | Wednesday, July 9th, 2008: Tsunami Zamora Smacks 5 Hits! Today at Tidal Wave Stadium Gabriel Zamora put on a hitting clinic as the Honolulu left fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Brooklyn pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But the Yard Dawgs didn't really seem to care, they won the game 10-7. He told SION reporters after the game, that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch. It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." G. Zamora singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. This season Zamora is batting .340 with no home runs. |
