Monday, June 16th, 2008: Injury Takes Toll, O'Quinn Out 12 Months
The Rochester Rednecks were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Steve O'Quinn was likely to be out for 12 months after he injured himself throwing the ball in today's game against the Gary Goats. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a torn labrum. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Rochester manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries--they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Steve is back in action."

In 2008 O'Quinn is batting .263 with 76 hits, 3 home runs, 21 RBIs, 40 walks, .352 OBP and has scored 42 runs. He has played in 72 games.
