 | Friday, June 6th, 2008: Gonzáles Tosses Shutout for Rochester Raúl Gonzáles of the Rochester Rednecks spun his magic on the Thunder Bay Bombers today. He blanked them 8-0 on 3 hits, registering 4 strikeouts and no walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Gonzáles said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Rochester skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." In 13 starts this season Gonzáles has crafted a 5-5 record with a 3.50 ERA. |
