 | Thursday, May 29th, 2008: Big Day for Webster! Swats 5 Hits! All game long Las Vegas's Homer Webster was rattling the walls at Green Felt Field and banging out base hits against the Guantanamo Bay Interrogators. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Holy Rollers had a 15-0 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 28-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." H. Webster singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off P. Min in the 8th. In 2008 Webster is hitting .256 with 21 hits, 1 home run, 8 RBIs, .315 OBP and has scored 11 runs. |
