 | Wednesday, June 24th, 2009: Off-Field Accident Sidelines Blackwell SION reports that Bristol starting pitcher William Blackwell was injured last night and suffered a damaged meniscus while bowling with his teammates. He received treatment at a local hospital and was released. He is expected to miss 2 weeks before resuming baseball activity. This season Blackwell has worked 92 innings with 99 strikeouts en route to a 4-5 record and a 4.21 ERA. |
