He hurled the Los Angeles (A) Angels of Anaheim to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Chicago (A) White Sox, yielding 4 hits with 8 strikeouts and 2 walks. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," the Chicago (A) skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." In 2019 Wood has compiled a 14-19 record with a 4.91 ERA. |
