 | Tuesday, September 24th, 2019: Bragdon 5-6 Against Cubs Somedays you can't win for losing. Just ask Damaso Bragdon. He was the King of Swing in the game against the Cubs, but his Reds were beaten 4-3 anyway. The Cincinnati third baseman stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Chicago (N) and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. Unbelieveable. It felt good. It felt great on the one hand, but a downer at the same time. What a day! 5 for 6! It does wonders for your batting average. But it's a shame we couldn't win it, too." D. Bragdon singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off K. Henrich in the 9th and grounded out in the 11th. Bragdon is hitting .263 in 2019. He has added 72 RBIs and 23 home runs and has gotten on base at a .313 rate. |
