 | Sunday, September 15th, 2019: Morgana Will Miss 2 Weeks The Oakland Athletics were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Jose Morgana was likely to be out for 2 weeks after he injured himself making a defensive play in today's game against the Seattle Mariners. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a pinched nerve (neck). Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Oakland manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries, they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Jose is back in action." Thus far this year Morgana is batting .272 with 7 home runs, 64 RBIs and 87 runs scored. He has 165 hits in 606 at-bats, 37 walks and a .311 OBP. Morgana has played in 139 games. |
