 | Friday, September 13th, 2019: Razor-Sharp Allison Blanks Seattle The Seattle Mariners struggled at the plate today against Tigers hurler Ellis Allison, who shackled them on 4 hits while hurling a complete game 9-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Mariners skipper in his postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Allison finished the game with 7 strikeouts and no walks in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," his manager said. "Ellis made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." This year to date Allison has 19 wins and 11 losses and a 2.33 ERA. |
