 | Tuesday, September 10th, 2019: Andres Rovira Hurt, Out of Action It took the Pittsburgh team doctor a while to realize it, but closer Andres Rovira won't simply play through his back spasms, after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Mets-Pirates game. At first, it looked like Rovira might be back as early as tomorrow, but now it looks like the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 1-2 weeks. A spokesman for the club described the loss of Rovira as a blow, but was confident that he'd be back soon. This year Rovira has appeared in 51 games, saving 32. His record is 3-9 with 44 strikeouts in 56.1 innings and a 3.51 ERA. |
