Tuesday, September 10th, 2019: 5-5 Game for Koehn
After the Philadelphia 12-1 victory over Tampa Bay and his 5-hit day second baseman Steffen Koehn told SION beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game is very good...three or four hits even better...5 or more are out of sight...and if it is in pro ball...it is really something special. It will get you in the record books."

The 24-year-old player gained that distinction today at Veterans Stadium with a spectacular 5 for 5 game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

The skipper of the Phillies spoke glowingly of Koehn, telling SION writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Steffen did that to perfection today."

S. Koehn doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off B. Pharris in the 8th.

For the season, Koehn is hitting at a .281 clip with 16 home runs, 66 RBIs and has scored 96 runs. He has 138 hits, 103 walks and a .411 on-base percentage.
