 | Sunday, September 8th, 2019: Philadelphia's Sayhey Down with Injury The Philadelphia Phillies will have to "make do" without Willie Sayhey for 8 months. He suffered a fractured ankle while colliding with a player at a base in the game today against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the left fielder. "That's a real blow," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We know how to deal with adversity." Sayhey will miss 8 months.
This season Sayhey is hitting at a .300 pace with 4 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has played in 117 games and scored 37 times. | |
