 | Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019: Groth Dominates Angels of Anaheim in Shutout Everything clicked on the hill today for Charlie Groth of the Baltimore Orioles as he hurled his club to a 6-0 shutout win over the Los Angeles (A) Angels of Anaheim, limiting them to 2 hits while recording 6 strikeouts and yielding 3 walks. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Angels of Anaheim manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him." So far this season Groth has compiled a 10-17 record with a 3.99 ERA. |
