 | Monday, May 4th, 2009: Young Selected Player of the Week The votes have been tallied and the winner of the Ruth Player of the Week has been named. It was awarded earlier today to Stephen Young for his great week at the plate. The Jacksonville left fielder took home the trophy by banging out 9 hits in 23 at-bats for a .391 batting average, driving in 8 runs and scoring 7 times. Currently Young has 9 home runs and a .287 batting average. |
