 | Friday, August 30th, 2019: Giants Starting Pitcher Out Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Marcus Proust of the Giants knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Boston Red Sox while throwing a pitch. Diagnosed as a torn labrum (shoulder), the San Francisco starting pitcher is expected to miss 7-8 months. Proust was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "There is nothing I can do now. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
So far this year Proust has a 11-17 record with a 4.42 ERA. | |
