 | Friday, August 30th, 2019: Brewers Lose Santophina for 2 Weeks The Milwaukee Brewers were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Brian Santophina was likely to be out for 2 weeks after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a strained calf muscle. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Milwaukee manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries, they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Brian is back in action." In his 2019 season totals, Santophina has posted these current numbers: 26 home runs, .291 BA, .386 OBP, 81 RBIs and 83 runs scored. |
