 | Monday, August 26th, 2019: Addison of Phillies Shines in Shutout Gem "He was kind of teasing them with his offspeed stuff and his fastball was moving everywhere," the Philadelphia skipper said in postgame comments after Joss Addison had shut out the Cincinnati Reds 5-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece. Addison numbered 8 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in a gem of a performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well . . . or he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," complained the Cincinnati manager after the defeat. Thus far this season, Addison has worked 195.2 innings with 149 strikeouts en route to a 15-2 record and a 2.67 ERA. |
