 | Wednesday, August 14th, 2019: Nichols Sensational! Goes 5-6! If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Kevin Nichols showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Colorado Rockies and helped the Milwaukee Brewers beat them 9-4. The manager for the Rockies told the SION sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Nichols keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. K. Nichols flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off P. Maddox in the 9th. Nichols is currently batting .347 with 9 home runs and 53 RBIs. He has reached base at a .371 rate and scored 49 runs to date. |
