 | Tuesday, August 13th, 2019: Hits Galore! McCaskill Drills 5 Hits! Chicago (A) left fielder Shawn McCaskill put on quite a show at Comiskey Park II with a big 5-hit day. But all for naught. The White Sox were beaten 7-5 by the Oakland Athletics. In the postgame interview he said, "The team didn't do too well today, but it was a good one for me, at least at the plate...5-5...wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average...and my salary, too. But I could do without the losing." S. McCaskill singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Looking at his stats this year, McCaskill has compiled a .322 batting average and .359 on-base percentage while hitting 11 home runs and driving in 44 runs. He has played in 104 games and scored 48 runs. |
