 | Tuesday, August 6th, 2019: Parsons on Rampage Against Rangers! There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Shorty Parsons of the Seattle Mariners had one of those moments when he went 5 for 6 at the plate today in the 9-0 win over the Texas Rangers at Safeco Field. The 34-year-old catcher told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day...enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." S. Parsons singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This season Parsons is batting at a .345 clip with 1 home run and 21 RBIs. He has played in 68 games and scored 29 times. |
