 | Wednesday, August 14th, 2019: Santana Torches Orioles for 5 Hits 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Juan Santana of the Detroit Tigers had a sensational 5-5 game against Baltimore at Comerica Park. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 9-6 shellacking of the Orioles. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off...Right, skipper?" J. Santana hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this year Santana is hitting .253 with 3 home runs. |
