The Jacksonville second baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .548 average (17-31) with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.

For the week the 27-year-old left fielder batted .481 (13-27) with 1 home run, 8 runs and 9 RBIs.
This year Lewis has hit at a .332 clip with 193 hits, 13 home runs, 83 RBIs and 102 runs scored. |  | Sunday, September 21st, 2008: Ramos Sidelined for 1-2 Weeks The Brooklyn Yard Dawgs were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Alfonso Ramos was likely to be out for 1-2 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Syracuse Storm. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a tender shoulder. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Brooklyn manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries--they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Alfonso is back in action."
